At the office of the Petrozavodsk City Public Organization “Petrozavodsk–Tübingen Friendship Society,” an engaging lesson titled “Carnival–Maslenitsa” was held for 6th-grade students of Secondary General Education School No. 20, dedicated to the traditions of celebrating Carnival in Germany and Maslenitsa in Russia.
During the meeting, the participants:
- got acquainted with German carnival traditions;
- read a carnival poem in German;
- made up tall tales;
- crafted a clown’s wig;
- took part in a candy rain.
The lesson ended with a festive treat: the schoolchildren drank juice with Berliners — a traditional carnival delicacy.
The organization expresses its gratitude for the preparation and conduct of the event to Ekaterina Vadimovna Tsumarova, Olga Vladimirovna Razuvaeva, and Ekaterina Anatolyevna Yakovleva.
