The Petrozavodsk City Public Organization “Petrozavodsk–Tübingen Friendship Society” presents the project “Literary Lounge ‘Evenings by the Fireplace’” — a series of cozy meetings dedicated to getting acquainted with German literature.
Participants read and discuss texts from different eras and immerse themselves in the context and characteristic features of German-language culture in order to better understand the language and literature of Germany.
The format of the meetings includes:
- reading aloud;
- mini-lectures with the context of the era;
- open discussions;
- creative tasks;
- musical interludes;
- additional materials.
Thematic focus: — classics (Goethe, Schiller, and others); — modernism (Kafka, Rilke, and others); — post-war and contemporary German literature.
Audience of the project: students, upper-grade schoolchildren, lovers of literature, and those studying the German language and the culture of Germany.
